Dr Ruben Cohen-Hallaleh is a Specialist General Surgeon with considerable training and experience spanning gastrointestinal, hernia, gallbladder, breast and endocrine surgery. He performs weekly endoscopy, offering both gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr Cohen-Hallaleh offers his patients the latest surgical techniques and non-invasive treatments, taking a careful consideration for each patient and their unique circumstance.
His extensive experience includes minimally invasive laparoscopic (“keyhole”) surgical approaches to hernia and gallbladder surgery, endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) screening and diagnosis, as well as having advanced, sub-specialised breast cancer surgery training.
He also treats a range of benign and cancerous skin conditions, including skin cancer, soft tissue tumour surgery, as well as benign lumps and bumps, including lipomas and cysts.
With a special interest in oncoplastic breast cancer surgery, Dr Cohen-Hallaleh maintains an aesthetic approach to both benign and cancerous breast conditions, and applies the latest reconstructive techniques to preserve natural form and shape during the one procedure. His focus is on achieving the best outcomes in both cancer surgery and breast appearance, enabling women to maintain their breast shape and body image after surgery.
Throughout his career, Dr Cohen-Hallaleh has showed great initiative, skill and dedication as a surgeon, scientist, researcher and educator. His research has been widely published in medical journals and presented in medical forums internationally, such as Japan and Spain. Dr Cohen-Hallaleh continues to actively be involved in research and clinical trials, particularly in the field of breast cancer.
He is an instructor with the College of Surgeons and teaches on multiple courses.
